Need to install GA4? Here's the express method:
Navigate to Site Settings → General → Google Analytics section
Find your Measurement ID in GA4 dashboard (search "measurement id" and copy)
Paste ID into Framer's Google Analytics field
Instantly activate cross-site tracking with no code required
Add a custom event to your form
Select your Multi-Step Form component
Click the "Analytics" tab in the properties panel
Create a descriptive custom event name (e.g., "form_step_viewed")
This event automatically fires when users reach each new form page
Each trigger includes the page name/number for granular tracking
Check your Google Analytics dashboard
Open Google Analytics - Reports - Engagement - Events
Find your custom event in the events table
Click to view detailed breakdown with visualization
Identify which steps have highest drop-off rates
Track completion percentage across the entire form journey
Pro tip: GA4 processes data with a delay, allow 24-48 hours for complete event reporting. For immediate testing, use GA4's DebugView mode.
